Mango Prelude – Intensive Demo

In this session Rumana Jaseel will brief what are the components needed for making an entremet. She will be demonstrating the different components of the entremet and will be assembling the entremets during the session. She will also make the chocolate flower and complete the entremet. The session will involve the participants for a combined hands-on and work with Rumana in setting up the Entremet

Gluten Free Eggless Baking

This is a complete hands-on session where each student will be making a gluten free chocolate cake, gluten free cookie and a vegan chocolate frosting. This workshop is completely eggless

  • Converting a recipe into Vegan & egg substitutes in baking

A complete recipe handbook will be given to the students. Students will take back the cake they made and the share of their cookies along with goodie bag of almond meal.

Airbrushing a Pretty Face

  • Learn how to use the airbrush machine
  • What are the different colours that can be used to airbrush
  • Get a hands-on experience to airbrush a pretty girl’s face

Sugar Flowers - Bougainvillia, Sweet Pea & Foliage

Duration : 5 hours (2:30 pm to 7.30 pm )

In this complete hands-on workshop Arati Mirji will teach how to make Bougainvillia, Sweetpea, Foliage. You will learn to

  • Give movement to the petals such that they look natural and life like.
  • Plan the correct method of drying the petals
  • Choose the right veiners for the flowers and also work with alternative veiners
  • Decide appropriate gauge of wire for a particular petal or leaf
  • Tape, dust, glaze the petals and leaves
  • The correct way to assemble the flowers and leaves

Students get to take back the sugar flowers they made in the class and a goodie bag containing Arati’s flower paste and a pack of petal dusts sponsored by Sugarin

Hanging Bird Cage Cake

This is a complete hands-on session where students will be working on real cakes and make the structure themselves hands-on. They will learn how to carve the cake in the shape of the bird house and work on the details to make a complete hanging bird house cake.

  • Make the hanging structure and making it food safe
  • Layer and fill the cakes in the base of the structure made
  • Carve the cake in the shape of the bird house
  • Ganache the cake which is non-conventional in shape
  • Cover the cake with fondant and give the details of a bird house
  • Working with fondant, gumpaste and modelling chocolate
  • Recipes for gumpaste and modelling chocolate will be given

Students will take home the hanging structural bird house cake they made in the class along with a goodie bag of airbrush colours sponsored by Sugarin Colours

Students will also get a step by step instruction manual in the session and also to take back after the session

Speed sculpting a young woman

This is a complete hands-on session where students get to make a human figurine understanding the anatomy of a human female. Learning to make the same figurine in different sizes based on requirement. Templates for making the figurine in different sizes will also be provided.

  • Learn human anatomy
  • Learn to work with templates to make human figurines in different sizes
  • Model the human body completely with legs, hands, bust and a face with details

Couverture chocolate sail cake

This is a complete hands-on session where students will work on cakes, layer and fill the cake with chocolate cream. Cover the cake with couverture ganache and velvet spray the same. Also learn how to temper chocolate and make a shiny chocolate sail. Make a golden drip and finish a beautiful chocolate sail cake.
